   At the time of 1814, when the British attacked Fort McHenry, America's flag had 15 stars and 15 stripes -- the only time in our nation's history when the flag had anything other than 13 stripes.

   This is the flag that Francis Scott Key witnessed flying as the British bombarded Fort McHenry with bombs and rockets, and it's also the flag that was still flying after the battle was over.

   Francis Scott Key immortalized this image of the American flag flying over the triumphant fort as a symbol of the unconquerable spirit of the nation. Today, we strive to ensure that even under the weight of a troubled and dangerous world, we can say, as Mr. Key did, that our flag is still there.

   This design signifies the notion that, no matter what forces bombard us, America's ideals, values, culture, and heritage will remain intact. This will always be the land of the free and the home of the brave!
